Shubenacadie is listed in the District Minutes as one of the communities on a priority list to commence a new church.
Jan, 1985
Approval is given to help with the rental of a hall or church within the Elmsdale-Milford area.
1985-1989
David Blakeney labours selflessly at this church plant. During this time, in 1987, the church begins to explore the purchase of property. By 1988 the construction of the church begins with the securing of financing.

David Ripley assumed the pastorate.
